Nowadays, universities provide equal educational opportunities for both genders, yet they cannot ensure an equal number of male and female students in every course. The main reason is quite simple: admission is based on qualifications and interests rather than gender. It would be unfair to reject a female applicant in favor of a less qualified male. Biologically and psychologically, females tend to be more inclined and competent in certain fields than males, and vice versa. For instance, teaching or nursing are often popular among women, who are generally known for their patience and dexterity, while programming, engineering, or technical jobs attract more men, who are often considered to have sharper logical thinking. Therefore, since university admission relies on merit, which naturally differs between genders, unequal proportions of male and female students are inevitable.
