Humans are responsible for a wide range of environmental problems. We are disposing of increasingly large = ever greater quantities of waste, releasing tons of fumes and gas emissions into the atmosphere, and discharging excessive amounts of chemical fertilizers into the soil. All these activities have a devastating impact on the planet. Therefore, both governments and individuals must play their part in keeping the world free from pollution=clean. Governments should make greater efforts to impose green taxes in order to reduce pollution and encourage sustainable practices. Meanwhile, individuals can contribute by using renewable energy sources and choosing recycled or reusable products. Another effective measure to minimize environmental threats is to dispose of waste in designated bins, and to walk or cycle for short-distance travel instead of driving. The Earth is our shared home — for us and for future generations. Therefore, we should take steps now to keep our environment clean and habitable, starting with the smallest everyday actions.
