The maps illustrate the existing layout of Southwest Airport and the proposed redevelopment scheduled for the following year.

Overall, the redevelopment will substantially modernize the airport by more than doubling the number of gates, introducing a sky train to replace the walkway, and providing a broader range of passenger amenities in both the departure and arrival areas.

Currently, the airport has a relatively simple design. Eight gates are aligned in a straight row, connected to the terminal by a walkway. The building itself is divided evenly, with departures on the left and arrivals on the right. In departures, facilities are limited to a single check-in desk and a café, both positioned before security and passport control. Arrivals are even more basic, offering only passport control and customs, with no additional services.

Following redevelopment, the gate area will be reconfigured into a Y-shaped arrangement, increasing capacity to 18 gates. Access will be modernized with the introduction of a sky train, replacing the current pedestrian route. The departures hall will be upgraded with a dedicated bag-drop facility, relocated check-in desks, and a repositioned café near the entrance. In the arrivals area, new amenities will include an ATM and a café situated close to passport control. Furthermore, commercial facilities will expand, with shops placed near Gate 1 and a car hire service located adjacent to the exit of the arrivals section.
