Over time, John learned to trust Alina, and they formed an unbreakable bond, sharing walks, treats, and love, with Alina celebrating John's birthday as a symbol of the life she had never had. One night, after a long day at summer camp, Alina returned home to find John unresponsive and lifeless, having died alone in her cage after a long struggle. Despite her desperate attempts to save her, including rushing to the vet with the help of neighbors, John was gone. Alina held her lifeless body, whispering her promises, and later discovered a note from John’s past that revealed the bunny had been buried alive to protect her, a sacrifice made out of love.
