Lena stood at the edge of the cliff, the wind tugging at her coat. Below, the ocean roared, wild and untamed, like the thoughts in her mind. She had come here every year since she was a child, drawn by the view and the silence. But today was different. Today, she held a letter in her hand—one she had written but never sent.
It was to her father, the man who had left without a goodbye. Years of questions lived in that letter, and as the waves crashed below, she let it go. The wind caught the paper, lifting it high before it disappeared into the sea.
Lena didn’t feel lighter. Not yet. But the act of letting go, of surrendering what she couldn't control, was enough for now. She turned away from the cliff, her steps slow but steady. It was time to go home.
