Some people feel that all types of information related to science, commerce, and academics should be shared freely. Whereas others are of the opinion that certain information may be too valuable to be made available to the general public. In this essay, I will discuss these opposing points of view and thereafter give my opinion. On one hand, there ae some people who feel that all sorts of information should be freely available to everyone. This may be because whenever they were looking out for some critical information, they found that it was not easily accessible to them, and that information was restricted to a selected group of elite individuals. Thus they feel that people can gain knowledge, and progress in their lives. On the other hand, there are others who feel that information should only be available to people who really need it, and who are ready pay a price to acquire it. This may be because they too would have had to sacrifice their time and money to learn about important things. So these are some of the reasons that some people feel that knowledge is not a commodity, and it should not be available to the general populace. And finally, I feel that any and all information, be it related to science, commerce, and the arts, should be available openly in the current times. So that people from all social and economic backgrounds can learn the things that they want and progress in their fields.
