Kaziranga National Park In English  Kaziranga National Park is a very famous national park located in Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam state of India. Kaziranga National Park is one such national park in the world, which is famous for the largest population two-thirds of one-horned rhinoceros. According to the census in March 2015, there were about 2,401 rhinos in Kaziranga National Park. This national park has been declared as a World Heritage Site in 1985. The protected and continuous biodiversity of Kaziranga National Park makes it very special, due to which many types of fauna are found in this park. This park is also called the home of Indian tigers. The water bodies and forests of Kaziranga make this park extremely beautiful. Due to which the tourists coming here get a different pleasure. It is said about the history of Kaziranga National Park that there lived a girl named Ranga near a village here who fell in love with a boy named Kazi. When the family members did not agree, both of them ran away from the house and disappeared in the forest. Hence this park has been named Kaziranga after both of them.
Another story about Kaziranga is told that during the 16th century, a sage-scholar Srimanta Sankardeva blessed a childless couple Kazi and Rangai and asked them to build a pond at this place so that their The name should always be known.
The one-horned rhinoceros, wild water buffalo Wild Water Buffalo and eastern swamp deer in Kaziranga National Park are famous for being the most populated in the world. Altogether 35 mammal species are found in this national park, but 15 of them are now in danger. Apart from this other animals found in Kaziranga include elephant, gaur, sambar, wild boar, Bengal fox, golden jackal, sloth bear, Indian montjack, Indian gray nebula small Indian nebula. Along with this, one-horned rhinoceros wild water buffalo swamp deer Asiatic elephant and royal Bengal tiger are found the most. In Kaziranga there is one tiger per 5 sq km.
