Various sections of the society have come forward and contributed to this mass campaign of cleanliness. From government employees to jawans, from Bollywood actors to sportspersons, from industrialists to spiritual gurus, everyone has expressed their commitment towards this noble cause. Millions of people across the country have been participating in these sanitation works by government departments, including NGOs and local community centres, through plays and music through the deep connection between cleanliness and health. Cleanliness campaigns are being run across the country on a large scale to take the message to the people. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts made by the public and various departments and institutions to participate in the Swachh Bharat Mission and contribute to the creation of a clean India. Shri Narendra Modi has always openly praised the participation of the public in social media. Simultaneously, a campaign MyCleanIndia has also been started as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to highlight the contribution of citizens in this campaign being run for cleanliness. Swachh Bharat has taken the form of a peoples movement as it has got immense support from the people. A large number of citizens have also pledged to come forward and make a clean India. After the launch of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, it has become the nature of the people to pick up brooms to clean the streets, clean the garbage, focus on cleanliness and create a healthy environment around them. People are helping and getting involved in spreading the message of Cleanliness is close to Godliness.
