Earth is the only planet in the entire universe where life is found because there exists an environment conducive to life. Here there is a balanced mixture of air, water, soil, trees etc. In other words, there is a proper balance of the environment here. If there is an excess or deficiency of any one of these various elements of nature, then this balance is also affected. Due to the industrialization of the modern era, the increasing number of machines, factories, etc., the speed with which pollution is increasing in the world has started affecting the environmental balance. If this increasing pollution is not controlled, then the day is not far when the entire life in the universe will be in danger. Pollution occurs due to many reasons. Smoke emanating from factories, etc. increases the amount of carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere, due to which the ratio of oxygen is continuously affected. Apart from air pollution, water, soil, noise, radioactive pollution is also increasing in the world. The inventions of science have given new wings to man. Day by day the number of motors, cars, scooters and buses are increasing. Apart from this, the number of mills and factories is also increasing continuously. The smoke from these factories, mills and various means of transport mixes with the pure air of the atmosphere and pollutes it. Smoke and other hydrocarbons reach our lungs in the form of fine particles and give rise to many diseases. Selfishness of the people is also a major reason for the increase in pollution and diseases because most of the people leave the rotten things of the house in a free environment. Every day, thousands of tons of chemical substances come out of factories and mills etc. and flow into rivers, due to which the water of rivers gets polluted. Apart from this, excreta, insecticides and dead bodies flowing in the water are continuously increasing the water-pollution. As a result, the life of the animals living in the water is in danger. Some rivers of the country have become so polluted that water animals are getting destroyed there at a rapid pace.
