One day an old and poor woodcutter used to live in a village. He earns money by cutting down trees and selling wood pieces. He is so poor that he could not own a chainsaw to do his work and he used a steel axe to cut trees. One day while he was cutting down a tree which was located beside a huge pond, his axe slipped from his hand and fell down in the pond. He was feeling so sad and he realized he doesn't have enough money to get another axe. Right before he was about to leave from the area, a goddess appeared on the pond and called him. When he looked at the goddess, he couldn't believe his eyes. Then the goddess asked why he was feeling sad and he told the reason why. Then the goddess kept her hand underwater and while the hand was underwater, a golden axe appeared in her hand and raised it up into the air. The farmer couldn't see because her hand was underwater and did not know that the goddess made golden axe appear in her hand instead of digging in the pond and finding it. The farmer looked at the golden axe and replied "no". Then the goddess put the hand she was holding the golden axe in the water and while it was underwater, she made the golden axe disappear and made a diamond axe appear. The farmer also couldn't see that she did this. She raised it up the pond and asked if the Axe was his and he kindly replied "no". This time, she kept her hand underwater and actually got the steel axe out and asked if it was his. The farmer replied "yes", then the goddess gave him back his axe. Then the goddess thought he could've said the golden and diamond axe was his but he wanted his own steel axe and was not greedy. The goddess liked what he did and gave him all the three axes (golden, diamond and steel) to keep it forever. While he was telling this story to wife, a greedy man was spying them from their house window and listened to some part of the story and did not listen to the part of the story in which how the woodcutter replied to the goddess. The next day, the greedy man went to the huge pond with his bronze axe and starting chopping wood. He acted as his axe slipped in his hand and threw it in the pond to make it look like he dropped it by accident. Later, the goddess appeared and asked him what is his problem and he told his problem. Her hand went in the water and made a golden axe appear in the water and then lifted it up. She asked him if it was his axe and he replied "yes". Then the goddess was holding the golden axe with other hand. Then, with another hand of hers, she kept it underwater and made a diamond axe appear and then asked if this was his too and he said "yes". The goddess realized this trick from the beginning and didn't give him the golden and diamond axes. She also didn't return him his bronze axe and then later disappeared. The greedy man was sad and he went back to the village.
