The word environment is made up of two words, pari and cover in which pari means around us or say that which is around us. At the same time, 'Avaran' means that which surrounds us. Environment is made up of climate, cleanliness, pollution and trees all together, and all these things i.e. environment is directly related to our daily life and affects it. Human and environment are dependent on each other. Environment such as climate pollution or reduction of trees directly affects the human body and health. Human good and bad habits like saving trees, stopping climate pollution, keeping cleanliness also affect the environment. Bad habits of human such as contaminating water, wasting, cutting excessive amount of trees etc. affect the environment badly. As a result of which later humans have to suffer by facing natural calamities.
Declared by the United Nations, this day is celebrated to bring awareness to the environment at a global level. It started in 1972 with the World Environment Conference organized by the United Nations General Assembly from 5 June to 16 June. The first World Environment Day was celebrated on 5 June 1973 . The biological components of the environment include all biological activities and processes associated with them, in addition to micro-organisms to insects, all animals and plants. Whereas abiotic components of the environment include non-living elements and their associated processes, such as mountains, rocks, rivers, elements of wind and climate, etc.
In a general sense, it is a unit made up of all the biotic and abiotic elements, facts, processes and events affecting our life. It is pervasive all around us and every event of our life depends and takes place on it. All the activities performed by humans affect the environment directly and indirectly. Thus there is also the relationship between an organism and the environment, which is interdependent.
On the basis of human intervention, the environment can be divided into two parts, the first being the natural or natural environment and the man-made environment. This division is according to the degree of human intervention in the natural processes and conditions, according to the excess and the minimum. Environmental problems like pollution, climate change etc. are prompting human beings to rethink about their lifestyle and now the need for environmental protection and environmental management is important. Today, what we need the most is to make the general public and well-read readers aware on the issue of environmental crisis.
