Today we will discuss about the Battle of Buxar. While I was looking at my post today, I found that I have written about many small wars in medieval history but Buxar's war was forgotten. Therefore, today I have decided to write about the battle of Buxar. I will discuss all the reasons why this war happened, what were the reasons, between whom and what happened and what the results were. The Plassey War 1757 Mircasim and the British had to sit Mirjafr him. The British started receiving money and facilities from Mirzafar at will. On the other hand Meerkasim wanted to take over the reins of Bengal. This period of Nawab  Shuja-ud-Daula which Mughal Emperor Shah Alam  was also prime minister, prepared to take action against the British. For this, Shuja-ud-daula sent a threatening letter to the British on behalf of Shah Alam. It was alleged in this letter that the British were encroaching the facilities given to them and exploiting Bengal financially. There was no response from the British in this matter. Eventually, Shuja-ud-daulah and Meerkasim lost patience and declared a war against the British in April 1764.
The remaining number was just a crowd. Emperors Shah Alam and Mirkasim had no army of their own. The army chief gave the message of returning to Patna instead of Buxar to the British Army. As a result, Patna was under siege. But Shuja-ud-daula's army also had many disloyal persons. For example, Maharaja Kalyan Singh son of SitabaraiWas in a high position in Awadh's army. Sitabarai was a friend of the British and his scribe Sadhoram, after getting information about the military activities of Shuja-ud-daula, used to send them to the British. The siege of patting did not work. It was a rainy season. Therefore, in lieu of Patna, Shuja-ud-daula decided to spend rain in Buxar itself. Meanwhile  , the British appointed Major Hector Munro in lieu of the head of the British Army and sent him to Patna as the General. Munro reached Patna in July 1764 AD. He feared that by getting the support of the Marathas and Afghans Shuja-ud-daula might defeat the British. Hence, Munro soon decided to go to war. After the arrival of Monroe, some Indian soldiers revolted, which was pacified by Munro and blown all the rebels with cannon. Munro joined the Rohtas fortress Sahumal in favor of the British and Rohtas became British.  On the other hand, Emperor Shah Alam had no army of his own. He himself was desirous of assistance to get the throne of Delhi and had become indifferent to the war by getting the assurance of the British.  noon. There was fierce fire in the war. Shuja-ud-Daula's army was just like a mob. The cavalry of Awadh could not be used in front of English cannons. The British were victorious. There was a lot of army casualty from both sides.
