Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist.
He is best known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc^2
In 1880, his father and his uncle founded Elektrotechnische Fabrik J. Einstein & Cie.
In 1905, Einstein's annus mirabilis (miracle year) , he published four groundbreaking papers, on the photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, special relativity, and the equivalence of mass and energy.
In 1921, Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect.
Einstein exclaimed after his visit with Hubble: "If there is no quasi-static world, then away with the cosmological term!"
