In order to deprive Prahlada of Vishnu devotion, Hiranyakashyap gave many tortures, but Prahlada did not give up Vishnu devotion, which enraged Hiranyakashyap called his sister Holika to him Holika had a boon that Agni could not burn him. Hiranyakashipu asked Holika to take Prahlad in his lap and sit in a burning fire. On the orders of brother, when Holika entered into fire with Prahlada, Holika was burnt to ashes due to using her boon for unrighteousness, while Prahlada came out of the fire, taking the name of Lord Vishnu. It did not hurt. Hiranyakashyap was extremely angry when his sister Holika got burnt in the fire. He raised the mace and the devotee spoke to Prahlada he wandered a lot to become a devotee of Vishnu, tell me where is your God.
