After India's independence, on 14 September 1949, the Constituent Assembly unanimously decided that the standing dialect of Hindi would be the official language of India. To propose the importance of this important decision and to spread Hindi in every region on the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha, from 1953 on 14th September every year in India will be celebrated as Hindi Day.
Gradually Hindi language became popular and this language took the form of national language. Now our national language is also very much liked internationally. One reason for this is that our language is a reflection of the culture and values of our country. Today, students from every corner of the world are turning to our country to know our language and culture. A Hindustani should at least have his own language i.e. Hindi at the same time, we must also learn to respect Hindi.
Hindi day is celebrated every year on 14th September in India. Hindi is the language of India. The national language is the identity and pride of any country. Hindi binds India. It is our national duty to express our love and respect towards this. For this duty we celebrate September 14 as Hindi Day. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari every class of people from literate to illiterate can easily understand and speak Hindi language. This is also the identity of this language that no one has any problem in speaking and understanding it.
In earlier times, English was not very popular then this language was respected for Indians or every class living outside India. But with the changing era, the English have set their feet on the land of India. Because of which today our national language has to be celebrated in the name of one day. Earlier where English was not much available in schools, today the children studying in the big schools of the country are lagging behind in Hindi due to their increasing demand. Not only this, they do not even know how to write and speak Hindi properly. Not giving importance to Hindi while staying in India is also a big mistake.
Nowadays due to the English market, people who know and speak Hindi all over the world are seen as illiterate or a boor in the market or it can be said that people who speak Hindi are seen with a paltry attitude. This is not true at all. We have become slaves of English in our own country and we are not able to give respect to our Hindi language, which should be in the eyes of every country towards the language of India and the country. Whenever you or you are proudly using your mother tongue while standing in the middle of a big hotel or business class people.
