this is me testing my ability to type freely. It is harder than i thought it might be to type whatever i want to, but i still hope that it will be worth it in the long run to be able to type like this. I think it is funny that my parents never really let us have many computers. so I never learned to touch type. However, here I am, 10 years later typing this without looking at the keyboard. It is a nice feeling to see my results going up each day. I wonder how long before I will be able to type at normal speeds. I hope it will only take me a couple of months. Maybe it will take me a full year! I feel like I am doing much better than when I started a week or so ago. I can now type at a steady pace that almost matches my rate of thinking. Using colemak it really doesn't look like my fingers are moving much at all. the letters I am worst at would have to be Z, X, B, J, and Q. Sometimes when I'm doing the typing tests I will refresh until I see a set of words that look easy. I hope this is not why my scores have been good recently. Why am I putting myself through all of this? I have wanted to be able to touch type for a while now. I spend so much time behind a keyboard, I hope that it will reduce my risk of getting injuries in my whrist.
