He was requested to teach the Buddha after 49 days of attaining enlightenment. As a result of this request, the Buddha taught the first cycle of dharma after he got up from yoga. These teachings included the Four Noble Truths and other discourse sutras that were the main sources of Hinayana and Mahayana. In the Hinayana teachings the Buddha explains that one has to make efforts on his own to get rid of sufferings, and in Mahayana he explains how one can attain perfect enlightenment, or enlightenment, for the sake of others. Both traditions began to expand gradually in Asia first in India and then in other nearby countries, including Tibet. Now they are beginning to flourish in the West.
Ashtanga Margas include three basic categories namely concentration Samadhi Skanda, Jnana Pragya Skanda and moral conduct Sheel Skanda. Samadhi Skanda includes Right Smriti, Right Samadhi, while Right Speech, Right Livelihood and Right Efforts are divided under Sila Skanda. Pragya Skanda consists of Samyak thought, Samyak Karma and Samyak Vishwas. It has been said in Buddhism that one can get rid of the cycle of death and birth by nirvana. According to Buddhism, you can achieve it throughout your life and not after death. However, it denies the concept of salvation and emphasizes the need for an ethical code of conduct to achieve ethical values of conduct.
