Be steady, have faith and reach the goal safe
Socrates, [470-399 BC] had said that four things belong to a Judge: to hear courteously, to answer wisely, to consider soberly and to decide impartially. Let us try to cultivate and earn these qualities. Even if we achieve the quality of sobriety only we would certainly win the half battle against our own bias, prejudices and false ego. Remember impartiality is fruit of sacrifice.
Present generation of judges should develop habit of reading and want of that causes failure of a Judge and Justice also. Therefore, read, read and read.
After writing two editions of judgement writing In Hindi and one objective test book for ADPO examination, this is fourth book in English on judgement writing. The Printer/publisher had rightly said that there is no big market for English edition, hence, he himself volunteer for diglot edition of the same and offered translation in Hindi. I thank him very much for positive and creative suggestion. My thanks to the translators because of them this book will be more useful.
I express my obligations and respect to all family members to including in-laws for their highest co-operation to lead my life of 66 years of age. For this book also I have not claimed any royalty or remuneration from publishers/printers.
Have no attitude of faultfinding. Be positive and creative in life with courage, determination and firmness. Be honest having integrity and ability. This will make one real Judge. I being a most commoner my thinking and actions both have a good melodious tuning also. Therefore what I say and do never contradict each other. I have faith in myself.
Presently what is required for a good Judge is [1] power of retention of legal knowledge, [ii] understanding judicial concept and [iii] good reading. Do it achieve it.
All the best wishes to dear aspirants. Devote yourself for a good cause. If the candidates script grand success in competitive examination my labour would be of some worth.
I have tried my best to rectify mistakes but practically it is not possible do so for many reasons. I am also not friendly with the computer system also. I regret for the same. What I have written in the book is in working  English free from English grammar. Therefore, no one should bother for the language. It is a language of love that every one understands thought not written or spoken. We are not elites as presently few people think because they know little English. We may be bourgeois but we are also true citizens of India. Nowadays it is a fashion that though one may be highly corrupt and cent percent dishonest but if one knows little bit English he is fit for a high post and not otherwise. Anyhow every cloud has a silver border/lining.
