I've been averaging a few tests per day for the past few weeks and my average WPM is steadily dropping.
My thumb isn't working right, and other fingers feel confused and clumsy.
It's as if all my "thinking" is messing with my flow.
Has anyone else encountered this?

It sounds like you may be overthinking and overworking. Also, it takes time to get warm and loose.

Just listen to some calm music or white noise and practice typing. You can focus better

Personally, I reverse my space bar (so it's slanting down towards you). I don't know if it'll help you, but at least you may find it more comfortable.
