higher score in competitions than in regular typing tests?
am i the only one receiving a slight bit better results from competitions than from regular tests? i realize that in competitions you can take the same test numerous times and somewhat learn which words will appear, but i experience this even on the first attempt. i'm more thinking it has something to do with the competitions (at least for me?) having a bit smaller rows of words. although if i were to guess beforehand, i'd think typing longer rows with less jumps would actually yield a higher wpm, but it really seem to have the opposite effect on me. anyone else noticed a pattern in their results?

I feel the same way; I don't know why though... I guess it's because the rows are shorter, as you said.
