Why accuracy not shown in 1-minute tests?
Why accuracy not shown in 1-minute tests unlike that in Text Practice? Accuracy is the percentage of correct keystrokes pressed to the sum of all keystrokes pressed(corrected + uncorrected). Backspace keystroke is not taken into consideration. Accuracy is quite a helpful metric. Hope it will be show...

Is this typing speed calculation justified?
I just gave a local government typing exam and wasn't qualified. The test was of 10 minutes duration. They used the following formula: Net wpm = Gross wpm - Errors So, my gross wpm was 45 and I made 13 mistakes. According to their formula, my net wpm = 45 - 13 = 32. The required minimum speed was 35...

Re: Typing speed hypthesis
I played a Custom Text thing recently, but all the words were arranged such that each word needed to be typed entirely with the left hand or right hand in the QWERTY layout. I found it very hard to keep my speed up Can you share the link of that "practice text"? With this in mind, I also ...

Can this option be made available, officially or a small hack for the time being?
What's your opinion about this feature: Will it be helpful to some users, according to you?

@knotenpunkt
Your suggestions are good (like analysing the user's typing pattern and guiding it), but I don't feel anyone may implement it here. See, I posted a very basic suggestion/requirement: http://j.mp/2b5LU9Z it didn't gather any actionable response.

Where to look while typing?
Hi, this is my user id: m I have average wpm of 56 and 50 in normal and advanced typing test respectively, but when I type by seeing from a newspaper, I struggle to achieve more than 38 (I don't know mistakes, as calculating it is troublesome). What is your approach, when you type the text from a ne...

Option to turn off Red Highlighting
Can it be possible to turn off the Red Highlighting for wrong words typed? I don't want this feature to be standard (to new users), as it is helpful to new users, but this feature is giving me "inflated" typing speed, and not an "actual" measure of my typing speed. When I type he...

Re: NECESSARY WPM TO PASS STATE EXAMS
The required wpm may be different for each type of post. A post having higher salary for a typist may require more wpm. Even, wpm may be different for different departments.
